Kellie Martin. Martin is an American TV and film actress. Her most well-known role is for her roles as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher as well as Lucy Knight on the series ER. In addition, she is known as the star of her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin was born to a department store purchaser and kindergarten teacher began her professional career in acting when she was seven. Her aunt who worked as a nanny to Michael Landon's kids was able to help Martin get a part in the 1982 series "Father Murphy". After graduating at Yale University she began to pursue acting with a seriousness with roles that she was able to land on the small screen and big. Besides being an actress, Martin is an accomplished photographer as well as a ballet dancer. A mother of two, she is the national spokesperson for Lupus and has been spreading awareness regarding the disease after her sister passed away of it in the age of 19.
