Ava DuVernay's birth took place on the 24th of August on the 24th of August, 1972, in Long Beach California. DuVernay was able to explore her artistic and creative talents in her early years due to her aunt Denise. From this position she started her own company for public relations named The DuVernay Agency in 1999.
